As a fellow human, I know that life can be full of complexities that can bring us through seasons of ups and downs. As a counselling therapist, it’s my aim to help clients create movement along their unique journeys toward healing, growth, processing, and transformation. For each person, movement might look different. For some, it might come quickly and powerfully in a few sessions. For others, movement might look like taking the time to sit with painful experiences that have been held under the surface. Whatever your path, my commitment is to be your navigator and to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your situation, and your environment so you can then make an informed decision on how to move forward.

About Me

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. In addition to my experience as a therapist, I bring a diverse background and skillset to my work, including years of experience working with youth and as a currently practicing paramedic in the Metro Vancouver area. As one of my specialties, I specifically work with First Responders and Health Care Professionals.

Throughout my career, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, ages, and cultures, addressing a range of mental health and relational issues including..

  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Trauma & Ptsd
  • Grief & Loss
  • Life Transitions & Identity
  • Spiritual & Religious Processing
  • Adolescent & Young Adult Issues
  • Compassion Fatigue & Burnout
  • Relationship Stress

My work as a paramedic has also shaped my perspective and approach to therapy. As a first responder, I have witnessed firsthand the impact of trauma and crises on individuals and communities. I bring this experience and understanding to my work as a therapist, helping clients navigate the aftermath of traumatic events and build resilience and coping skills to manage stress and adversity.

What To Expect

While I tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals, my goal is to create an environment where thoughtful questions and observations can be brought out in a safe and non-judgmental manner. My style is often described as easy-going, energized, casual in tone, and compassionately engaged. I love to employ humour, fun, and playfulness when appropriate, with the recognition that heavy experiences are often intermixed with nuanced moments of lightness and reprieve.

In practice, my work with clients looks like exploring their inner worlds, identifying patterns and beliefs that might be holding them back, and developing tools and strategies to overcome obstacles so they can achieve their goals.
