What if your brain and body just needed a little support getting ready to heal? At Providence, neurotherapy integrations work with your physiology directly, so that everything else in your healing journey can go further.
about approach
Neurotherapy Integration is the use of evidence-informed, neuroscience-based tools to directly support the regulation, resilience, and performance of the brain and nervous system. At Providence, we recognize something that research has made increasingly clear: sometimes the body and brain need targeted physiological support before, or alongside, traditional therapeutic interventions in order to experience the full benefit of the work. Trauma, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation can create real barriers to healing, not because a person is not trying hard enough, but because the biology has not yet caught up. Neurotherapy helps bridge that gap.
Our neurotherapy integrations at The Brain Bar include a range of carefully selected, non-invasive modalities: Neurofeedback, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Training, Audio Visual Entrainment (AVE), Biofeedback, Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), Photobiomodulation, and more. Each of these tools works with a different aspect of your brain and body's functioning, and can be used in combination with therapy to amplify results, as a standalone intervention for specific goals, or as part of a peak performance protocol for people who are already functioning well and want to go further. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit. You just need a brain and a willingness to invest in how well it works.
Why you might be here
Maybe you have been doing the work in therapy for a while, and something still feels stuck. You have the insight, you understand the patterns, you know what happened, and yet your nervous system does not seem to have gotten the memo. You still wake up anxious. You still feel shut down or reactive in situations that you know, rationally, should not affect you so much. If that resonates, you are not failing at healing. It is possible that your brain and body simply need some direct, physiological support to create the conditions for the deeper work to land.
Or perhaps you are not in therapy at all and are looking for something different: a way to address brain fog, low energy, chronic stress, or difficulty focusing that goes beyond what lifestyle changes alone have been able to shift. Maybe you are a high-performing individual looking for an edge, wanting to think more clearly, recover faster, and show up more fully in your work and relationships. Neurotherapy at Providence is for all of these people. Whether you are healing, stabilizing, or optimizing, there is a place for you here, and a protocol designed with your specific goals in mind.

how therapy helps
At Providence, neurotherapy is never applied in isolation from the broader picture of who you are and what you are working toward. Our team takes the time to understand your history, your goals, and your nervous system before recommending any protocol. When neurotherapy is used alongside traditional therapy, it is designed to work synergistically: helping your brain become more receptive, more regulated, and more neuroplastic so that the relational and emotional work of therapy can take root more deeply and more quickly. For many clients, this combination becomes a turning point in their healing journey.
For those who are not in therapy, or who are pursuing neurotherapy primarily for performance or wellness goals, our team creates individualized protocols tailored to your specific brain, body, and objectives. We use assessment tools to understand your baseline and track your progress, so that what we are doing is always informed by data and guided by your experience. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. At Providence, every neurotherapy plan is as unique as the person in the chair, because that is the only way it actually works.

If you have any questions for us prior to booking an appointment or being matched with a therapist, please fill out this contact form and our clinic concierge will get back to you during business hours (Monday- Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm PST).
We look forward to supporting you

For Your Clarity
No. While many of our clients use neurotherapy in combination with ongoing therapy to amplify their results, it is absolutely available as a standalone service. Whether you are looking for clinical support, wellness enhancement, or peak performance gains, our team can work with you independently of any therapy relationship.
You do not need to figure that out on your own. Our team will work with you through an initial consultation and, where appropriate, assessment tools to understand your brain, your nervous system, and your goals. From there, we will recommend a personalized protocol and walk you through exactly what to expect. Each modality also has its own dedicated page on this site if you want to explore further.
Think of it as preparing the soil. When the nervous system is dysregulated, it can be difficult for the insights and experiences from therapy to fully take hold. Neurotherapy helps bring the brain and body into a more receptive, regulated state, which means the emotional and relational work of therapy tends to go deeper and produce more lasting results. For many clients, combining the two becomes a genuine turning point.
Not at all. While neurotherapy can be profoundly supportive for people navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, and other clinical concerns, it is equally valuable for people who are already functioning well and want to go further. Athletes, executives, creatives, and high-performers of all kinds use neurotherapy at Providence to sharpen focus, improve recovery, and enhance their capacity to perform under pressure.
This varies depending on the modality, your individual goals, and your starting point. Some people notice shifts within a handful of sessions; others build results more gradually over a longer protocol. Your Providence clinician will give you a realistic picture of what to expect for your specific situation and will track your progress along the way so that your protocol can be adjusted as needed.
Yes. All of the neurotherapy modalities offered at Providence are non-invasive and have strong safety profiles supported by research. Before any protocol begins, our team conducts a thorough intake assessment to ensure that the recommended approach is appropriate for your individual health history and goals. Your safety and comfort are always the priority.
